What is Global Leadership? 10 Key Behaviors that Define Great Global Leaders
Please join AmCham Shanghai on Tuesday, May 21 from 11:30–13:30 at the JW Marriott Hotel Tomorrow Square as Dr. Ernest Gundling, Founder and President of Aperian Global presents "What is Global Leadership?” The event is part of AmCham Shanghai's CEO Speaker Series.
What is Global Leadership? It turns out that many companies around the world are missing a key point: that global leadership is distinctly different from the leadership skills needed in a domestic operation. In this presentation, Dr. Gundling will discuss the cutting-edge research conducted by Aperian Global, including first-hand interviews with successful global leaders, which highlight 10 key behaviors critical to international settings, such as cultural self-awareness, frame-shifting and developing “third-way solutions.”
Topics for discussion include:
- What are common leadership challenges found around the globe?
- How are challenges in emerging economies different from developed economies?
- What characteristics define a global leader?
- What are global companies looking for in their global leaders – where are the gaps?
- Actions companies can take to grow global leaders and address gaps – best practice examples from around the globe
