MEMBERSHIP REFERRAL PROGRAM  

AmCham Shanghai set a record for the number of new members recruited during our 2006 and 2007 fiscal years, and we currently average 80 new members a month. Many of these new members were referred to us by word of mouth. AmCham values the support of members like you, and we would like to express our appreciation for your referrals.

From now until March 31, 2007, AmCham Shanghai will treat you to lunch or dinner at one of Shanghai's top restaurants for each successful corporate referral. As soon as your friend or client's membership application is approved, you will receive a RMB400 gift voucher for one of several participating restaurants.

Please e-mail or fax your referral's full name and contact details to us and we will follow up with membership information and application forms. For more information, please refer to the attached program details or contact Shirley Huang at 6279-7119 ext. 5677 or Shirley.huang@amcham-shanghai.org.

AmCham Shanghai 2006 Membership Referral Program  

Step-by-step Instructions
  1. After the referee has at least expressed verbal interest in joining AmCham Shanghai, the referrer sends a fax or e-mail to the AmCham Shanghai Membership Department to the attention of Shirley Huang at 6279-7119 x5677 or shirley.huang@amcham-shanghai.org with the referee's company or individual contact information.
  2. Based on information provided by the referrer, the AmCham Shanghai Membership Department will follow up on the membership application process of the referred member.
  3. Upon receipt of the referee's 2006 membership payment, AmCham Shanghai will issue a thank-you letter to the successful referrer. With this letter, the referrer can redeem one gift coupon from the AmCham Shanghai office.
  4. The referrer will receive one RMB400 gift coupon from participating restaurants.


Terms and Conditions
  

  1. This program is only available to 2006 AmCham Shanghai Membership card holders. The referred company or individual must not be a current member of AmCham Shanghai.
  2. Referred companies or individuals must meet AmCham Shanghai's membership qualifications.
  3. This program applies only to referrals of US Corporate, Non-Resident US Corporate, US Associated Corporate and Individual memberships. Please note Associate members are not eligible.
  4. A referral is considered successful when the referee's 2005-2006 membership payment has been paid in full and received by AmCham Shanghai.
  5. The referrer must ensure the authenticity of the referred company or individual's contact details and obtain the necessary authorization from the referee to provide their company or personal information to AmCham-Shanghai.
  6. AmCham Shanghai will notify the referrer in writing when a referral is successful.
  7. The gift coupons of participating restaurants can not be exchanged for cash or replaced with other gifts with AmCham Shanghai or the relevant restaurants.
  8. Each referrer who successfully refers one new corporate category member or individual member is entitled to one RMB400 coupon. The restaurant choice will be determined by random selection.
  9. When using the gift coupons, AmCham Shanghai assumes no responsibility for any cost incurred over RMB400.
  10. Additional restrictions may apply.
  11. In the event of dispute, AmCham Shanghai's interpretation shall be final.
