The Environmental Committee invites you to join us to our first roundtable discussion for Environmental, Health and Safety directors, managers and supervisors. Two of China’s most respected environmental lawyers, Dayton Carpenter of Baker & McKenzie and Charlie McElwee of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, will recap significant developments in 2008 and give a preview of what to expect in 2009 in China’s environmental regulatory regime.
We will also look at how the Chamber can better advocate for greater transparency and participation in the regulatory development process, and provide a forum for a general discussion of best practices in the EHS function for businesses operating in China.
Please note that this is event is open to EHS leaders from all AmCham Shanghai member companies, including those who are not personally AmCham Shanghai membership card holders.
