about the committee

The focus of the Manufacturers' Business Council  (MBC) is on senior managers of foreign-invested, manufacturing enterprises. Topics of discussion include government regulations, manufacturing best practices and economic developments. Committee meetings consist mostly of tours of host company facilities followed by discussion on pertinent subjects related to that company's operations.



T.T. Chen, Operating Partner

T. T. Chen is a free-lance Operating Partner for private equity firms and multinationals.  He specializes in interim general management and executive coaching.  He has served in interim GM/CEO positions for portfolio companies for EQT Partners and Blue Point Capital Partners, as well as for TRW Automotive.  He has coached executives in Ford, GSK, TRW Automotive, Tyco Electronics, Associated British Food and several private entrepreneurs.T. T. has over 25 years of operations and technical experience in multinational companies, including 12 years of start-up and building industrial and consumer businesses for Avery Dennison in China, Japan and Southeast Asia.

Harry Wong, Managing Director
Universal Precision

After 25 years of banking experience in the US and Hong Kong, Harry Wong moved from the US to Shanghai in 1991 and started his business in China. From 1991 to 2003, he was involved in business investment of real estate, IT, advertising, wine, pharmaceutical, and travel agency in China. In 2004 and 2005, he set up two machining companies in Shanghai. In 2008, Harry moved to Long You, Zhe Jiang and set up Universal Precision Group there. In 2009, he took over a foundry in JiangSu, which is renamed Universal Precision Castings. This year 2013, Harry will build a new aluminum foundry and then an iron casting foundry in Long You, Zhe Jiang.
