Neuro-Muscular Disease Association of China (MDA-China) is a nonprofit organization for devoting philanthropic assistance to the patients and affected families. Also, it will accelerate research relevant to diagnosis and treatment of neurological and muscular diseases.
The MDA China consists of three major groups: the affected patients and their families; the medical specialists and health care professionals; and the research scientists.
Our missions are:
To provide general education and updated information on the medical research of the diseases to the Chinese patients and their families.
To promote academic and medical research on the mechanisms, diagnostic, prevention and treatment of the diseases.
To enhance the communications among patients, health care professionals, and scientists, and to participate in national and international communities, volunteers, and any other life science organizations.

And membership fee... For the massive number of patients in China, constant offices are needed to conduct day-to-day business. These costs include office rent, equipments, and general day-to-day and contract services, conference and meetings expenses.

| Publicity |
| Fund raising, fliers, brochures, PR, cross-culture communication... To help the majority of Chinese population recognize MD and promote research for MD. A good and effective publicity is needed. Also help international reorganization of the fact of MD in China.

| Medical care |
| Medicine, nutrition, therapies, mental health consulting... To help MD patients and parents of the patients, medical care is the most direct means.
|
| Outdoor activities |
| General expense, pick-up service, location rent, food, beverage... Duo to mobility impaired, MD patients lack of the ability to go out and participate in normal activities which hinders both patient's physical and mental development. Regular outdoor activities are essential for patients to gain positive life development. This cost includes transportation of patients and volunteers, location and facility rent fee, insurance and so on.

| Legal aids, accounting, senior translator/collator, editor, therapist, mental health consulting, PR... For a large NGO organization to run successfully, professional help is critical. This cost includes hiring senior professional specialists and helps us find and recruit volunteers.

| Wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, power wheelchair (with seat Elevator), Walkers, canes, respiratory aids, ventilation, coughing-assistance machines, respiratory aids... Wheelchairs, eclectic wheelchairs and walkers make patients independent like. To the patients experiencing progressive muscle weakening, coughing-assistance machine and respiratory aids can ease the threats of ultimately death to them.

| Computers, desks, chairs, stationery, projectors, printer, copy machine, fax machine... For start up.

| Living Aids |
| Stand aid, patient lift-make a easy transfer (power Toilet aid), Height-adjustable beds, voice composer, handicapped-accessible computers, remote door opener... Independence can be achieved by sometime a simple switch or voice command with the right equipment. Especially to MD patients, independence is a critical mental need, also to ease burden of the parents of the patients.

| Handy van, mini-van, wheelchair lift, portable ramp... With the current traffic conditions of China, transportation for MD patients is still a must. These vehicles are used for pick-ups of patients to day-to-day business and so on.

| Home-visit massage, acupuncture, physical rehab, mental health consulting... MD patients need constant therapy to keep and prolong muscle active. But the mobile difficulty limits them from getting it. Home-visit therapy can provide them this need. |

| Home-visit tutor for patient and parents of patients... To MD patients and the parents involved, education is the most important and essential to get the feel of value as a person, especially in China. Parents of MD patients often exhausted from economic burdens, getting education sometimes is a dream to the patients as well as the parents. Home-visit tutor can provide them the opportunity to learn the knowledge and skills to life planning. |
