Junior Achievement China [Education\Youth]
 
  Junior Achievement China teaches elementary, middle, high school and university students about economics, financial responsibility, and entrepreneurship through business volunteers, while giving them role models and the self-esteem to accomplish their goals. Founded in 1993, Junior Achievement International, China, Inc. obtained a licensing agreement from Junior Achievement Worldwide to develop and implement JA programs in China. Today, JA China has translated, adapted and implemented programs in the Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou regions and will reach over 30,000 students this school year.

Classroom Program Sponsor
This sponsorship opportunity will cover the cost of translating, adapting, introducing, and implementing a new Junior Achievement Program in China. Some of these opportunities include: Our Families, a program for 1st graders in which the students learn about the difference between wants and needs, and how jobs make a community work and progress; or, Career Go! a program for university students that teaches them how to write a resume, interview, and proper business etiquette. As a financial sponsor, we would also ask your company to support the program with volunteers as well. These sponsorships range from $15,000 -$50,000, depending if the program is already implemented in China. For this cost, you will strengthening and promote community involvement in education, enable your employees to easily participate in a community activities, prepare the future workforce, inform students about careers in your industry or profession, and enhance company media and publicity exposure through channels such as press conferences, email newsletters that are distributed to corporate volunteers, parents, teachers, principals, and government officials, recognition on the web-site, and in Junior Achievement China's annual report.

Program Event Sponsorship
These events provide students additional opportunities to learn about the business world. The first program event, Job Shadow, offers middle and high school students to understand how the workplace environment and what it takes to get there by following a corporate volunteer in a job that they are interested by visiting the company offices. The second program event is Volunteer Day, where business volunteers attended classes of all ages and teach Junior Achievement Programs all day, rather than through out the semester. Last year JA reached over 3,000 students through this program. The third program event is Migrant Worker School, where volunteers go to migrant worker schools on the outskirts of the city over one weekend to teach these students the basics in economic education. These sponsorships range from $5,000-$20,000. For this cost, you will strengthening and promote community involvement in education, enable your employees to easily participate in a community activities, prepare the future workforce, inform students about careers in your industry or profession, and enhance company media and publicity exposure through channels such as press conferences, email newsletters that are distributed to corporate volunteers, parents, teachers, principals, and government officials, recognition on the web-site, and in Junior Achievement China's annual report.

Golf Tournament
This September, JA China will host its first ever Fundraising Golf Tournament. This will be an exciting event for corporate leaders to enjoy a day of golf and fun for a good cause. All proceeds go to give the students of China the opportunity to learn about economics, ethics, and free-enterprise. These sponsorships range from $30,000-$5,000. Benefits range on sponsorship level, but could include: Eight (8) tournament playing spots Eight (8) additional reservations for awards dinner reception Eight (8) player tee gift bags Corporate name incorporated into name of the Event Corporate name on all event materials Corporate name in all advertising including any radio and newspaper promotion Name recognition on event promotional banner at the tournament Opportunity to speak at awards reception Souvenir photographs of foursomes Name recognition in appropriate public relations material generated by Junior Achievement Full-page acknowledgment on back cover of Event Program Opportunity to display promotional material and/or provide product samples on day of event to all players Recognition of your company in the Junior Achievement newsletter, mailed to 3,000 recipients Opportunity to provide a promotional brochure in player tee gift bags

Classroom Volunteer
No matter what your profession, your life experience and determination to succeed means you can serve as a role model - not just to your child - but to their peers, too. As a JA classroom volunteer, you can give your child and their classmates the opportunity to discover how their talent and abilities can create a better life for themselves. After all, preparing children for the economic reality of tomorrow is a responsibility everyone in the community shares. Each program varies slightly in time commitment. Please contact us to find a class that works within your schedule. Minimum Time Commitment: 2 hours/ 10 weeks.
Minimum Time Commitment: 0 hours/week.

Workshop Volunteer
Same programs as above, but taught in a one day workshop, rather than throughout the semester. These workshops are utilized for students of all grades, and to teach Migrant Worker Schools. Minimum Time Commitment: 2 hours for 1 day
