The Wheelchair Foundation is a non-profit organization leading an international effort to deliver a wheelchair to every child, teen and adult in the world that needs but cannot afford one. Over 100 million of the world’s population today are deprived of mobility by war, disease, accident, natural disaster or advanced age. We believe these people deserve the independence and dignity that comes with owning a wheelchair, regardless to their nationality, gender and age.
Since the establishment in California, USA, in 2000, The Wheelchair Foundation has distributed 749,138 wheelchairs to 152 countries and regions. In China, more than 242,000 wheelchairs have been delivered to all the 32 provinces across the country. For these individuals, we have given a gift of mobility, freedom and hope. |

- Opportunities for Financial Assistance |

 | Operation Mobility |
| The Wheelchair Foundation launched a joint project ‘Operation Mobility’ with the China Charity Federation in March 2004. The project aims to deliver 10,000 free wheelchairs to the disabled people each year during the next 5 years in China.
With each donation of RMB500 (or US$75), you can buy a brand new wheelchair and bring an immediate change to one’s life. For each wheelchair you donate, you will receive a beautiful presentation folder with the picture of the recipient sitting on the new wheelchair as a recognition of your action of love.
For any individual, company or group making a contribution of RMB100,000 (or US$15,000), you can designate any destination place in China for 200 wheelchairs. The wheelchairs shall bear your name or company logo.

| The Wheelchair Foundation produces and distributes newsletters and brochures on a regular basis. We look forward to having printing houses that are interested in providing support to the production.

| Wheelchair Experience & Research Program: Seeing the World from 1-Meter High |
| Have you ever thought about the difficulties that disabled people meet everyday? Have a one-day wheelchair experience or do some research of public services, you can get to know about the hardship of the disabled people and join us to make a change for them. |
| Minimum Time Commitment: 0 hours/week.

| On-site Support at Donation and Fundraising Activities |
| The Wheelchair Foundation arranges wheelchair donation ceremonies and fund raising activities from time to time. You are greatly welcome to participate in our activities and to help with such work as signing in, distributing brochures and collecting raffle tickets. |
| Minimum Time Commitment: 0 hours/week.

| Sunday Care Program |
| A great many disabled people on wheelchairs do not enjoy an everyday life as we do since they are confined to their rooms. If you have time on weekends, you are encouraged to pair with our disabled friends, helping them to go shopping, visit museum or simply go out for sunshine and breeze. |
