Project HOPE Hong Kong Foundation (PHHK) [Healthcare]

Project HOPE Hong Kong Foundation is an independent legally registered charity with tax exempt status in Hong Kong. It is affiliated with Project HOPE(People to People Health Foundation), a US based medical training organization established in 1958. PHHK shares the mission of Project HOPE: to "help people help themselves" through train the trainer method. Since 1997, PHHK has provided funds to train over 100 doctors and nurses at Shanghai Children's Medical Center (SCMC). In March 2002, PHHK initiated phase two of train the trainer program whereby 24 pediatricians and pediatric nurses from 9 western provinces in China were selected for training at SCMC for one year. At the same time, we funded a neonatal care program at Longyou, a county in Zhejiang province with SCMC.
